Join us for an engaging cuff workshop! Make three cuffs using copper, aluminum, brass, and a strip of silver for one embellishment. Many sizes and styles to create one-of-a-kind cuffs. The photo is an example of the possibilities!
This beginner workshop introduces the maker to a professional shear for cutting your desired cuff shapes, texture plates and a rolling mill for unique texture designs, pancake dies and an electric 20 ton hydraulic press for cutting an embellishment, riveting for cold connections, fold forming for a unique design element, and annealing to prepare your cuffs for texturing and forming with various tools. Finishing techniques will include filing and using a Jool Tool for smooth metal edges, patina, buffing, and more.
This 5 hour workshop is Artisan led with a instruction fee of $95.00 to be paid at the time of reservation here on our website. A makerspace and materials kit fee of $50 plus sales tax is payable upon arrival the day of class.
Please wear closed toed shoes, keep long hair away from face, no loose sleeves and bring eyewear needed for close up work if necessary to see. We provide protective eyewear if needed. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the workshop start time.
There will be a 1/2 hour break at mid point of the workshop. You may bring your own food or order in.
Your cuff textures and shapes will vary from the photo depending on the pattern you choose. We offer over 100 choices!
