This tote workshop is geared for beginner sewers but all skill levels welcome!
Sewers will learn the basics of sewing a tote including cutting out a pattern, using fusible fleece, and sewing a boxed corner to create volume in the bag.
Sarah Perez is the sewist Instructor and she will also provide tips and tricks along the way to better your ability as a sewer.
Sewers need a basic knowledge of sewing including how to thread your machine, replace the needle, back stitch, and sew (somewhat) straight.
What to bring to the workshop:
Your own sewing machine ready to sew and threaded with plenty fo white all-purpose thread, a full bobbin, and a 100/16 heavy duty needle.
Your sewing machine users manual
Standard presser foot.
You may rent a sewing machine for $15 plus sales tax per workshop.
Basic sewing tools are provided for use during the workshop.

This 4 hour workshop is sewing instructor led with a fee of $80 plus a materials kit fee of $26 plus sales tax.
The workshop fee is paid at the time of reservation here on our website and the materials kit fee is paid upon your arrival the day of class.
There is a 5% discount on all sewing tools sold at The Artisans' Workbench the day of class. This is a nice bonus to allow you to go home and start sewing!
Please wear closed toed shoes, keep long hair away from face, no loose sleeves and bring eyewear needed for close up work if necessary to see. We provide protective eyewear if needed. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the workshop start time.
