This Vinyl Pouch Sewing Workshop is suited for all skill levels.
Sewers will learn the basics of cutting out a pattern, sewing with vinyl and bias tape, sewing on a button, and attaching a clasp.
Sarah Perez is the sewist instructor and she will also provide tips and tricks along the way to better your ability as a sewer.
Sewers need a basic knowledge of sewing including how to thread your machine, replace the needle, back stitch, and sew (somewhat) straight.
What to bring to the workshop:
Your sewing machine ready to sew and threaded with plenty of white all-purpose thread, a full bobbin, and a 100/16 heavy duty needle.
Your sewing machine users manual.
Standard presser foot
You may rent a sewing machine for $15 plus sales tax per workshop.
Basic sewing tools are provided for use during the workshop.
Kit includes the following supplies to make one vinyl pouch:
Double fold crochet edge bias tape
Lobster claw clasp
This 2 hour workshop is sewing instructor led with a fee of $40 plus a materials kit fee of $16 plus sales tax.
The workshop fee is paid at the time of reservation here on our website and the materials kit fee is paid upon your arrival the day of class.
There is a 5% discount on all sewing tools sold at The Artisans' Workbench the day of class. This is a nice bonus to allow you to go home and start sewing!
For your safety wear closed toed shoes, keep long hair away from face, no loose sleeves and bring eyewear needed for close up work if necessary to see. We provide protective eyewear if needed. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the workshop start time.
